Gemma is a multi-award winning social entrepreneur for her water work in Asia and Africa. She is currently a Stanford Social Entrepreneur Fellow for the Center for Center for Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law. In 2004, Gemma founded A Single Drop, a non-profit organization to raise awareness of the global water crisis using “We Rise” and the Million Voice Choir as the catalyst for action. By September 21, 2004, Gemma had mobilized the Million Voice Choir in 0ver 100 cities in 60 countries singing “WE RISE” from all over the globe in celebration of the International Day of Peace. But after the 6 minutes of song was finished, Gemma had to ask herself… what now? What now? What happens on minute 7?
